An illustration of Blizzard's character, Sombra, from the video game, Overwatch.
As a Latina myself, I wanted to pay tribute to mine and Sombra's shared heritage. I love Mexican pop art and sought that as my main influence for this piece!
I wanted to revist my Sombra print after having it around for a year but instead decided to just do a new print entirely. Reaper is one of my favorite characters and his ties with Chicano culture especially appeals to me and my family.
Having family grown up in East LA, I really wanted to get that Chicano look and feel in not only the colors, but in the banner and text as well. I just hope I was successful in this attempt!
Lúcio Correia dos Santos
Continuing my theme of Overwatch hero prints, I decided to do Lucio! I took a lot of inspiration from street artists in Brazil, particularly those who are featured in the Beco do Batman (“Batman’s Alley.”)
I wanted to combine Lucio’s culture and love of music into one loud and vibrant illustration!
An illustration based on the game Deltarune!
I wanted to experiment with line weight and color for this piece. This was a lot of fun to work on and turned into a style I would revisit quite often.
The King is Dead
This is an illustration that was commissioned from me for a client who wanted to write an article about circus lions.
I wanted the print to reflect the dichotomy that is the plight of old circus lions by making the print colorful and inviting like most circus advertisements but also have a darker element reminiscent of the mistreatment these poor animals received.
Frankenstein Fright Night
A mock character poster for a fighting game based off classic Hollywood monsters. This one depicts a re-imagined version of the game's Frankenstein.
The Computer Room
For this piece I was assigned to design a computer room using Indian art and aesthetics.
I wanted the room to act as a sort of "the heart" of the complex with many doors the lead into the room. I wanted to incorporate technology into the architecture so there are strands of code flowing throughout the central station.
A cover image for a story I'm working on about a coyote guiding a young girl through purgatory.
"Sigame" essentially means "follow me" in Spanish so it fits in both with the theme and setting of the story. I really love Mexican pop art so I always take every chance I get to utilize it in my works.
A print based off the character, Chrysalis, from My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic.
As a fan of cartoon villains, I really liked this character design and wanted to see if I could depict a proper "lair" for her and her army. I also really wanted to experiment with purple/green hues!
I also included my very first rough draft for he print since I thought it would illustrate my thought process and because who doesn't love seeing first drafts?
LCAD Holiday Card
In 2016 I entered a Christmas card contest for my art school. Fortunately for me, my card was chosen as the winner!
I had never done a holiday card before so it was a bit tricky, however I wound up really enjoying this project and wound up doing a few others for friends/family.
This was designed for a Greek tarot card set!
This is based off the Greek mythos of Cerberus and takes place after the beast had freed itself from Hercules’ capture. This is why the Hercules constellation is seen in the crystal ball.
Initially I had chosen a much more limited color palette but decided that adding the bright magenta would really make this image pop.
Business Card Collection
A collection of various names/business cards I have used throughout the years.
These all share pretty much the same aesthetic since I feel it helps with my branding and makes it people to recognize where they have seen my work before.
